NSiC Riser Tube / Stalk Tube

NSiC Riser Tube / Stalk Tube

NSiC Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide Riser Tube / Stalk Tube | Low Pressure Die Casting Aluminum Alloy

NSiC (Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide) riser tube, also known as stalk tube, is a core ceramic component specially developed for aluminum alloy low-pressure die casting and gravity casting systems. Adopting high-purity NSiC composite ceramic integral sintering technology, it perfectly combines the high toughness of nitride and the high thermal conductivity, high temperature resistance and molten metal corrosion resistance of silicon carbide. Compared with pure silicon carbide and pure silicon nitride products, it achieves consistent industrial-grade performance with more competitive cost performance, becoming an ideal replacement for traditional cast iron and ordinary ceramic stalk tubes in aluminum foundry industries.

Core Advantages

1. Excellent Molten Aluminum Corrosion Resistance

The dense pore-free microstructure effectively resists long-term erosion, penetration and adhesion of high-temperature molten aluminum. It avoids aluminum liquid permeation, sticking and tube wall peeling problems that easily occur in metal tubes, greatly reducing casting impurities and improving the finish and yield of aluminum castings.

2. Superb Thermal Shock & High Temperature Stability

With outstanding thermal shock resistance, the NSiC riser tube can withstand frequent rapid heating and cooling cycles in continuous casting production. It maintains stable structural performance at a long-term working temperature of 700℃–950℃, no cracking, no deformation, and adapts to 24-hour uninterrupted industrial casting production.

3. High Thermal Conductivity & Stable Liquid Feeding

High thermal conductivity ensures uniform and stable temperature conduction inside the tube, realizing smooth and consistent molten aluminum feeding. It effectively avoids liquid flow fluctuation and temperature deviation, stabilizes casting mold filling, and significantly improves the dimensional accuracy and structural consistency of finished products.

4. Long Service Life & Low Comprehensive Cost

Compared with traditional iron stalk tubes, NSiC ceramic riser tubes have 8–10 times longer service life, effectively reducing frequent replacement downtime and maintenance costs. With superior cost performance than pure silicon nitride tubes, it greatly lowers the overall production operating cost for foundry enterprises.

5. High Hardness & Dimensional Accuracy

Integrated sintering molding ensures high overall structural strength, wear resistance and pressure resistance. Precise dimensional tolerance ensures perfect matching with casting furnace and mold installation, with strong assembly compatibility and no air leakage or liquid leakage during operation.

Product Parameters

Applicable Temperature: 700℃ – 950℃ (long-term continuous work)

Features: Anti-sticking aluminum, anti-corrosion, anti-thermal shock, high thermal conductivity

Application Medium: High-temperature molten aluminum, aluminum alloy liquid

Customization: Full-size customized according to furnace body and casting equipment parameters

Application Scope

Widely used in low-pressure die casting machines, gravity casting machines and automatic casting production lines for aluminum alloy products. It is suitable for automotive aluminum parts, hardware aluminum accessories, industrial aluminum castings and other foundry industries, serving as the key liquid delivery ceramic component for aluminum melting and casting systems.

Usage Notes

1. NSiC ceramic material is hard and brittle; avoid violent collision, extrusion and falling during handling and installation.

2. Adopt gradual heating for the first use to avoid rapid temperature rise causing thermal shock damage.

3. Keep the tube surface clean; prevent excessive oxide accumulation from affecting liquid feeding stability.

4. Prohibit forced assembly and super-high temperature overload operation to extend service life.
